You may have never considered commissioning a painting before, but it doesn't need to be intimidating. I thought sharing some insights to the reference paintings and the process with a recent client would be helpful in understanding the process a bit better. I am hoping this will also fuel some ideas for you and help you start to visualize a personalized painting for your home.

The commission is a beach painting. It is a favorite family pastime to spend time at the beach enjoying each other and relaxing. This is where their family reconnects as a family and escapes from the business of their daily lives.
From the clients:
"I thought it was very easy to work with Regina on a commissioned painting. I saw a previous painting she had done of a family at a beach house and knew this would be perfect for our beach house. We did some back and forth to finalize the overall size and thoughts we had for people and placement. Then she delivered an amazing painting."
Here are some of the reference photos I worked with for the painting.
Here are some photos that show the progress of the painting coming together from the reference photos.
From the clients:
"We choose photos that reflected the character and personality of our family and Regina captured them masterfully and wove them into a comprehensive scene that we love."
FINALLY!!! Here is a picture of the completed painting.
